I am so excited to share three lovely books that my girl has found helpful and very useful in the journey of discovering herself and womanhood. I guard the books jealously because I so much believe in power it carries. Plus three other girls are on queue to also use them.

The books have been a huge blessing because I was a big deal sometimes little bothered with the contents of regular books that my daughter has read, both through apps and paperbacks. We have discussed a range of topics and every time she reads a new book she sees something different from what I taught her, she comes to show me and I do some more explaining. One of the many instances is how cool it is for girls of These age bracket to date boys and have boyfriends. ( A topic I have in the draft). Even more disturbing is the fact that an eight-year-old is now being asked out on a date nowdays. When all the things around you are pointing to the same things, you begin to see it as true. ( The books you read, your friends, cartoons) super scary stuff if you ask me. So, these led me to search for girls book written by a Christian author.

  1. Girl Politics: This is the first book I got and it teaches girls about friends, bullies, frenemies, cliques, really mean chicks and how to deal with them God style. I particularly love this book because of the interactive style of writing and the opportunity for the girls to give feedback. And even life examples from girls around the world. Incredible isn’t it? You can get the book here

2. You! A Christian Girl’s Guide to Growing up: This by far one of the best books to get girls ready for puberty and all the emotional roller coaster associated with growing into a mini woman. This book answers all the question about growing up, your girls changing body and the encouragement needed for girls to appreciate the real them and what comes from the inside and as well taking good care of their physical body. And best of all is how they can carry God along in all the chaos. Wow! You will definitely fall in love with this book just like we did. You can find it here

3. Everyone tells me to be myself but I don’t know who I am: This is the last book we are reading now and so far it’s been totally awesome. Most times we tell our girls to just be themselves (I am also guilty of this), without allowing them or showing them how to discover themselves first. Get your copy here

The Author of these books is Nancy Rue. They have truly been a blessing to us and we really do hope they will also be to you and your girls as we journey in our quest to raise Godly, confident and fabulous girls.

Let me know in the comment below how these books have helped in raising your girls and any other book recommendation you may have.
